Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) President Muhammad Haroon Agar has welcomed three health ordinances signed and promulgated by Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan on the occasion of international Thalassemia day.
These ordinances relate to Thalassemia, mental healthcare and health commission. Agar said the implementation of these laws would help to control and prevent Thalassemia and streamline healthcare in the province.
He appreciated the move of adding a column about Thalassemia test in the marriage certificates whose filling would be obligatory after promulgation of Thalassemia ordinance.

Wow - adding a column in marriage certificate - with such a fantastic government infrastructure, sarkari medical facilities and efficient government offices / officers, another ritual has been added by the government to top off the social evils of dowry with list of functions (mehndi etc.)
KCCI president has appreciated probably because he sees another business opportunity irrespective of the fact that KCCI has failed on count of value additon and to protect the businesses in Karachi from Bhatta mafia
