
The Crime Investigation Department arrested five members of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s Hakimullah Mehsud group from Manghopir, Karachi, on Thursday.
The culprits were identified as Sher Ali Khan, Saeed Alam, Mubarak Hussain Shah, Samar Gul and Yassen. “The police traced two Kalashnikovs, two TT pistols and five hand grenades from their possession,” said SSP Chudhary Aslam.
Separately, SSP Fiaz Khan arrested a suspected criminal, Muhammad Sohail aka Tanweer, during a raid in Korangi Industrial Area. “He was involved in a number of incidents of target killing and is also affiliated with a political party,” said Khan. The police found a hand grenade and a TT pistol in his possession.
