Elections 2013: 101 polling stations termed ‘most sensitive’ in Nowshera

The DPO said 213 polling stations have been declared ‘sensitive’ while 101 are ‘most sensitive’.

Police officials in Nowshera chalked out the Election Day security plan in a meeting on Wednesday.


Nowshera DPO Waqar Ali told journalists after the meeting that security on May 11 will be on high alert. He added 423 polling stations have been established in the district where police officials will be deployed.



The DPO said 213 polling stations have been declared ‘sensitive’ while 101 are ‘most sensitive’ and 1,300 police officials will be performing duties on Saturday. About 1,309 security personnel are on standby and will assist in case of an emergency, he added.

FC personnel and elite force officials will also be deployed along with the police in most sensitive areas of the district.
