FAISALABAD:

Fesco Chief Executive Officer Dr Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan said on Monday that the company was spending billions of rupees to improve and upgrade its distribution and transmission system.

Speaking at a visit to the pre-stressed cement concrete (PCC) pole plant, he said, that facilitating consumers was Fesco’s top priority and that a number of steps had been taken to redress their complaints.

He said that state-of-the- art energy meters had been introduced to minimise overbilling complaints.

Accurate billing, he said, was Fesco’s responsibility and the system was being improved to reduce errors. He said the latest meters were tamper-proof and would help to control pilferage.

He said the PCC pole plant was manufacturing various types and sizes of high tension and low tension poles. He stressed that need for maintaining the quality of poles.

The chief executive officer directed the material management manager to immediately shift the poles to the field for timely installation.
