South punjab polls: Candidates withdraw in PML-N’s favour

Senior vice president of PML-N Punjab Senator claim PML-N would win the elections with a thumping majority.

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) candidate for PP-293, Momin Zar Suleman Khel and independent candidate Asif Abdur Rashid have withdrawn their candidature in favour of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s candidate, Muhammad Umer Jaffer.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, senior vice president of PML-N Punjab Senator Chaudhry Jaffer Iqbal claimed that candidates of various political parties were standing down in favour of PML-N-backed candidates due to the popularity of the party.

He also claimed that PML-N would win the elections with a thumping majority.

Jaffar thanked the candidates for favouring the PML-N candidate in the election.
