KARACHI:

The Sindh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer, Dr Merajul Huda Siddiqui, has said that his party is making seat adjustments with various parties to help return a genuine political environment and stop the hijacking of Karachi’ites’ mandate by a certain party. The JI has made an alliance with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Jamiat Ulema-Pakistan and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) amongst others, he added.

The JI and JUI-F reached an agreement on one NA seat and three seats of the provincial assembly on Saturday. Three JI candidates have been withdrawn in favour of JUI-F from PS-117, PS-96 and PS-98. In return, the JUI-F will support Muhammad Hussain Mehanti on NA-252.

In addition to this two-way agreement, JI’s Nasrullah Shaji and JUI-F’s Farooq Syed are also the joint candidates of the 10-party alliance from PS-116 and PS-117 respectively.

Jamat e Islami should not collaborate with a discredited politician Maulana Fazlur Rehman party (JUI-F).

JUI F caused severe damage to JI when they were together as MMA.
