ATC acquits 3 accused in Danish embassy attack

Rawalpindi court acquits three men accused in involvement in the Danish embassy attack in 2008.

A Rawalpindi Anti Terrorism Court has acquitted three men accused of involvement in the suicide car bomb attack on the Danish embassy in Islamabad in 2008.


Qari Ilyas, Mohammad Rizwan, and Rai Shabbir Ali have been acquitted today.


Three people were killed, and 28  injured in a suicide attack at the Danish embassy on June 2, 2008.


Police had arrested eight people, accused of facilitating the attack from different areas of the country. Five of the eight accused were also tried in General Mushtaq Baig's Murder case.
