Power supply in different areas of Lahore was cut off since 8am, Express News reported Saturday.
The affected areas include Shalimar Bagh, Chah Miran, Badami Bagh, Bhati Gate, Kot Lakhpat, Sufi Abad.
According to sources, 11 grid stations in Lahore came to a halt without prior notice by LESCO.
Currently, 14,000 mega watt of electricity is needed, while NTDC only has 7,000 mega watt of electricity.
Earlier, Lahore High Court had ordered scheduled loadshedding in all parts of the city.
Despite continuous attempts, LESCO did not respond, however Islamabad Control Centre said that the situation is critical and this was done to save the system. The control centre also revealed that not just LESCO but working of around 155 grid stations of different companies came to a standstill since early morning.

Even though the metrobus is a good service I agree to and second Haris's comment. Please dont vote for PML-N or PPP.
I believe it's a work of federal government to ensure the supply and control water & electricity department. Why don,t we see such load-shedding in karachi area? Regarding Metrobus....it is the best facility for the people of lahore. .. I hope they will cope with electricity when they come in the federal government.. Vote for PML N .
