The pair went one step closer to defending their title in Estoril, with Aisam also registering his first win over former partner Bopanna in three meetings this year.
The Pakistan tennis ace also avenged his Dubai Open defeat to Bopanna in February, where Aisam and Rojer lost to Bopanna and American Rajeev Ram in the first round.
Aisam and Rojer, who also clinched the Miami Masters doubles event earlier, will now face Italian duo and fourth-seeds Daniele Bracciali and Fabio Fognini in the semi-final today.

@mani it was just a joke.i know aisam had an indian partner and i recall they reached a final together some time back(it was good to see pak india working together) .anyway it was just my initial reaction while reading about the oppenents. and what caught my attention was that fact both both were from countries of whom we keep hearing stories of being enemies.seemed like a really strange coincedence.anyway doesnt matter who is partner is we will support aisam and his team mate anyway regardless of race and religion.
Perhaps you should know that Aisam played with both an Indian (Bopanna) and an Israeli player. Let's not devalue his hard work in interfaith and inter cultural harmony by making it about defeating Indians and Israelis.
wow ,defeated an indian and an israeli.does it get better than this?now get through the semi finals and clinch the title.go aisam go rojer
