A Peshawar Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday accepted the bail application for two sisters and directed the SSP to probe why they were detained and not produced before the court.
The orders were given by ATC Judge Syed Asghar Ali Shah during the hearing of a case brought to the court’s notice by Rajmona. Rajmona wrote an application to Peshawar High Court’s Human Rights Directorate accusing the police of raiding her house in Phandu area last month and taking away her daughters – Fehmida, 15, and Basmina, a mother of five – along with other valuables.
On this, the court summoned the SHOs concerned, out of which two were identified by Rajmona as those allegedly involved in the raid.
The accused officials denied the allegation of arresting the sisters, but were later nominated in an abduction case.
