Silent Crime: Sweets shop broken into, set on fire

Thieves stole Rs70,000 from a sweets shop and set it on fire.

GAKHHAR MANDI: Thieves stole Rs70,000 from a sweets shop and set it on fire here on Wednesday night.

Police said the thieves entered the Gujjar Sweet Shop owned by Zulfikar Ali alias Bhutto Gujjar through the duct for exhaust fan.

They collected cash and valuables from the shop and set it on fire, causing a loss of millions of rupees.

Gujjar and his neighbours extinguished the fire.
