Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has said that former two-time prime minister Benazir Bhutto was not assassinated by the Taliban.
“Benazir was clearly killed by the people worried that she was going to come into power,” he said in an interview with British daily Telegraph.
About recent reports suggesting that the PPP is open to offering Imran the prime minister’s slot in a coalition government, the PTI chief ruled out any such deal. “How can you bring change by joining the status quo?”
Imran also reiterated his stance against drone strikes in tribal regions, arguing that the CIA campaign only bolstered more people into joining the Taliban. “The way to do it [end militancy] is to take away their motivation, which is Jihad … If people are willing to die for a cause, it is very difficult to defeat them,” he added.

BB simply misspoke during that interview. She meant to say "Omar Sheikh, the man who murdered Daniel Pearl". Listen to her entire sentence and the context is clear. Stop and think for a minute before giving in to the conspiracy theories.

@Zulfiqar, the "attack" on Imran Khan was a mob of disenchanted PTI supporters outside his 30 acre estate in Bani Gala. On the other hand, since 2007, the PPP, MQM and especially the ANP have been the victims of several terrorist attacks that have taken the lives of leaders like Benazir, Taseer, Bilour, Bhatti, Imam, MPA Haider along with over a thousand activists and workers belonging to these parties. Just an hour ago, another blast has targetted the MQM injuring several people. Oh yeah, as per Imran Khan, the "drones made them do it" apologies will now be trotted out.

As far as security goes, only last week BBC showed Imran Khan being escorted in a human bubble of security men to a jalsa. He also arrived in an SUV surrounded by atleast a dozen police vans. The UAE Prime Minister walks and drives his car without any security protocol Will Imran do the same? I doubt it.
Taleban actually expressly denied doing it which is strange considering its a terrorist org and its profile grows with such assassinations. Clearly they did not do it.
The statement is simple and logical, only a person with correct state of mind can understand it. Taliban never accepted the involvement in murdering BB. PPP never tried to find out who killed BB even having all the resources available to them as they were in Govt. from past 5 years.... See its simple :)

If TTP involved at that time why UN Report is not public ? Why Senator Rehman Malik and Babar awan also the part of UN when they are collecting evidences ? Why both of them ran awy from the Scene?
taliban have denied involvement in Benazir murder and the major question is that why she was not provided better security? after the incident why the evidence was wash away?

Remember IK home got attacked just 2 weeks back, there were only two police guards standing outside his home. If this is massive security, what you will call 1260 policemen giving security to the Nooras and their family?

Army operated and failed to defeat taliban, U.S drones are only increasing the resentment of the local people against united states and Talibans are thus using them for their cause. And everyone knows who was the killer of Benazir.
TTP admitted they carried out the attack to kill Benazir and he is denying it. Either you are lying or they are. IF IK is not afraid to die then he should give up his massive security men, bullet proof land cruiser and walk alone into rallies. This is the reason this super defender ot terrorists is not getting my vote.
PML-N and PTI are not against Taliban this is why Taliban are not attacking on PML-N's and PTI's elections' campaigns' rallies in Pakistan.......
