There will be seven security personnel deployed on most sensitive polling stations, five on moderately sensitive and four on the remaining.
The army will only be utilised as a quick response force in emergency with 20 to 30 personnel in each squad. About 30,000 soldiers in total will be deployed, Radio Pakistan reported.
Human Rights Watch urged the interim government, on April 29, to use law enforcement agencies or if need be, the army to ensure the security of political parties and candidates from militant attacks.
The ECP has recently taken various steps to ensure foolproof security on general election day.
Forty instructors trained by foreign experts have begun training police officers who will serve on election duty, said a press release from Punjab Police.

The security plan of ECP is not quite enough to save the precious human lives on the Election Day.
People know very well how our law enforcing agencies are capable to handle the situation.
Had the law enforcing agencies been capable to handle the situation, there have been no suicude bombing, bomb blasts, target killings, extortion of money, kidnapping for ransom, theft of cars and motorcycles.
We are living in 21 century and the experience and technical expertise our security agencies is of 18th century.
Terrorists have more brilliant ideas to implement on their nefarious agenda, whereas security agencies are not even capable to arrest the culprits within reasonable period of times.
Look at the number of terrorists activities taken place during the PPP regime and how many people have been killed comparing to the number of culprits/terrorists arrested?
If ECP wants that more people should be killed on the Election Day, that is some thing else, otherwise, only Pakistan Army is capable to handle the situation on May 11, 2013.

What about public transporation? Will the candidates be allowed to bus in the voters?

So far ECP has dismal performance. I hope they redo their homework and instead of mere rhetoric come up with a robust security plan for election.
