Syed was addressing a joint press conference along with leaders of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Claiming that the terrorists are dictating the agenda, the ANP leader said the criminal elements want parties sympathetic to terrorists in the National Assembly. He said this will help them implement their nefarious designs for Pakistan easily.
Stressing that the people of Pakistan are against terrorism, Syed requested ulemas to issue decrees against it.
Reiterating the former coalition partners’ resolve to contest elections come what may, the ANP leader said the parties will fight for Pakistan until the death of their last member.
MQM deputy convener Farooq Sattar, while addressing the media, said the three parties have kept their differences aside for a greater purpose.
He further criticised the interim authorities and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for not doing anything to stop the ongoing terror spree.

PPP,ANP and MQM are cutting their own cultivated crops because they supported US against Taliban.This is why PPP,ANP and MQM are declaring these elections pro and anti Taliban parties' elections and indirectly Shahi Syed is declaring PML-N and PTI the pro-Taliban parties and PPP,ANP and MQM anti-Taliban parties.....
@Babloo: I agree with you sir. @Ali S: The army should not be called in because of its record. It is creating a situation where it is needed and it never goes back once it comes out. Balochistan is an exmaple of that.

It's still beyond me why despite acknowledging the horrible security situation in Karachi during the elections (in a rare joint-party conference, no less), these parties are still adamantly opposed to having the Army deployed at polling stations. I wonder why? Something's very fishy.
Until and unless the pakhtoons of NWFP free themselves of the religion based politics imposed on them by Rawalpindi , they will continue to pay a heavy price.

Karachi's average was around 12-15 persons per day , being killed in target killings....and this all was the handiwork of the militant groups of these parities...
....they just was to gain a sympathy wave , because they have nothing to show for their performance in the last 5 years...except ...blood and gore ..

I agree with him. Though they have been very disappointing. They have made records of corruption. However this is also true that TTP is after these three parties. There should be no doubt about it as there should be no doubt about their inefficiency and corruption.
Just to save their politics they are united...where was their unity when more than 9000 people were killed.....People this time....vote only for PTI other wise suffer for the next 5 years and this time it will be more worst than before....

Punjabi Army is in league with terror factories that's why we can't defeat them. Pakhtuns have no future in Pakistan and must opt for independent state and even should welcome international support for that as my Pakhtun brothers are being butchered in the name of Islam and strategic depth by Rawalpindi and their proxy Army called Taliban.
They are beating the "Taliban-drum" for the last many years but the menace has actually grown. No public welfare projects done.

Its a irony that political parties with a base in Punjab are pro-Taliban while ANP whose base is in state of the pathans , is anti-Taliban.

Sorry to say but we have no practical evidence of existence of TTP. We are fourth or fifth largest army in the world, than we have, para military forces, constabulary, FC, rangers, police, courts, judges but i have not seen ONE SINGLE TALIBAN CAPTURED and has been punished.
In Pakistan, there has always been a struggle between progressive and conservative forces. If we look critically, we may find that all institutions of the state and procedures are heavily skewed in favour of conservative parties and these institutions and procedures create hurdles to thwart easy and smooth entry of progressive parties into system. Present violence against all progressive parties is a naked use of violence that is embedded into Pakistani society and system that is why we do not see any protest or credible condemnation of violence against progressive parties. People who are unleashing violence against these progressive parties are not doing it because of mis-governance or corruption, they are doing because they know that they are only force against their agenda of terror. Do not forget that JUI-F, PML-F and PML-Q were also part of government and because of their conservative agenda they have been spared. Lets face it, if TTP were given a choice to select which political party they would like to see in power, their obvious choice would be either PTI or PML-N.

The three parties the PPP, MQM and ANP have turned this TTP violence into a call for a ' type of sympathy vote ' putting the mega issue of 5 years of inept governance and corruption into the background.............smart move by them, only hope people realise this.

This is good news in my opinion. The Taliban's plans are nefarious indeed and don't deserve any political sway. I do hope that these political parties can indeed set their differences aside and drive out the fundos.

The ultimate and only agenda of TTP is that Pakistan should not remain a nuclear state.
TTP is working in Pakistan on the instructions of foreign powers to destabilize Pakistan through economic, political, ethnic and religious uncertainty.
To create choas during election campaign is one of the factor, but I have already written that what is TTP's ultimate goal.
I think its the opposite way round, with these attacks they have successfully managed to divert attention of people from discussing their five year performance. No one seem to be talking a word about the last five years publicly.
