NOWSHERA: An activist of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was shot and injured in Nowshera Kalan on Saturday allegedly by a worker of the Awami National Party (ANP) for hoisting PML-N flags. Naik Amal Khan, an official of the Nowsehra Kalan police, said the injured activist, Zeeshan, reported to the police that he along with other party workers were hoisting flags near the Kabul Riverview area around 7:00pm when an ANP activist, Malang, told them not to hoist flags in the area. Zeeshan alleged that after a heated argument the accused shot him twice and fled. After the incident hundreds of PML-N activists from PK-14 constituency blocked GT Road near the Kabul River. Later, the protesters dispersed peacefully. Earlier on April 19, two activists of PML-N were shot and injured by PPP workers.
