Cultural Charm: Food street to be ready by Tuesday

LAHORE: Work on the Gowalmandi Food Street would be completed by next week, Works and Services Executive District Officer Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf said on Saturday.

He said a contractor had already been given the job of minor repairs and paints besides rectifying the sewerage at the food street. The work is to be completed at a cost of Rs3 million. He said the job was likely to be completed by Tuesday. He said gates were being installed over security concerns. He said DCO Rizwan Mehboob would decide the date for the inauguration.
