Hyderabad Attack: Rangers official shot dead

Unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on the check post at the gate of the rangers office mess in Latifabad No 6.

HYDERABAD: Muhammad Riaz, a Ranger’s official was killed when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on the check post at the gate of the rangers office mess in Latifabad No 6.

Another official Ameer Bakhsh, who was standing close to Riaz remained unhurt. He told that the attackers advanced the shootings and fled towards Buddi Chowk.

Ranger’s officers and police arrived at the scene of the incident immediately and cordoned off the area.

They forcibly took the camera of Express News cameraman Naseem Khan who was at the site to cover the incident for his channel. Later the camera was returned after the officials had kept it for two hours.

Rangers carried the dead body of the deceased official Riaz to Bhittai hospital and encircled the hospital building.
