Imran was addressing a press conference in Lahore.
Explaining his strategy for improving the rural life, Imran said he will ask overseas Pakistanis to own one village and sponsor development projects there.
To ensure satisfaction of the sponsors, the PTI chairman said that all the developmental work in the villages will be monitored through satellite cameras.
Explaining his optimism about fixing problems faced by Pakistan, Imran said he has lived abroad and has seen how systems work for the benefit of the people.
He further said that under PTI’s rule, the role of all MNAs and MPAs will be only to make laws and that the system will provide for the people.

No corruption in projects of Punjab Government as declared by Amnesty International and World Bank. No charges of corruption in any court. Local Governments are first satges of a nation's progress and strengthening of democracy.
President Musharraf brough a great system that devolved the powers to grass roots level.
MQM has been advocating for local government system even before any political party realized its importance and made efforts for it.
PTI is policy is being welcomed as if it has invented this tier of government structure.
We should welcome this policy but at the same time should remember Mr.Musharraf and MQM for efforts and vision they have been advocating well berfore all others.
People of pakistan desperately needs education emergency .. because comments from few idiots who still think that rulers who ruled this country many times will improve their lives .. either they are beneficiaries of this corrupt system or they have no brain.

Is it just me or didn't IK claim that he would personally contest an election against NS and SS from any constituency in Punjab? As it transpired later on, he chickened out of such an electoral contest. A guy who could not even stand up to such a miniscule little challenge would no way do what is being claimed in this news report.

Any party who is against the LG System is not a true democrat. PPP and N League doesnt want LG system coz their Chaudhry's and wadera's wont have full control on the finances.

All parties backed by Establishment (PTI, MQM, Q League, Tahir ul Qadri, Pervez Musharraf) are united against PML-N. All of them are used against PML-N turn by turn as per the situation. PML-N is facing all their acts alone. But I certainly believe that PML-N will be victorious on 11th May.

On the 'support a project' thing, it reeks and reminds me of Nawaz's karzay utaro, Pakistan sawaro. I would recommend to PTI that instead of burdering us Pakistanis living abroad, he should heavily tax the landlords, etc :) They are the ones who keep avoiding the system, increasing the gap between rich and poor - the main reason why our problems exist.

It is a good proposal not to give development funds to MNAS and MPAS. This will empower the departments concerened and that in return will bring a healthy and transperent development.

Local govts are a provincial subject and the constitution requires all the provinces to have local govts. Imran will only be implementing the constitution by holding LG elections. Imran lacks ethical standards of communication. He uses abusive and un-ethical language during his speeches. I cannot vote for such man. My vote for PML(N).
In 90 days, PTI will establish world peace, end AIDS, polio and all wars whilst establishing human colonies on the moon, Mars and Uranus (schoolyard, immature joke but still makes me chuckle - what can I say? We're all kids at heart).. Furthermore, ending climate change is something PTI will do with or without the help of the newly elected Pakistani lady in the "Oz" parliament. BTW, I do appreciate the idea and think it is the best thing Imran has come up with, yet - the sloganeering and sensationalization of the entire campaign, on the other hand - not so much.

Imran never said that everything will be done in 90 days. What he said for 90 days is (better management to control load shedding, local body elections to stop MNA and MPA to use funds and do corruption). Solving Pakistan's problems is a big task and all you critics, instead of wasting time in criticizing, just go to insaf.pk and read the plans and policies.

Being a Pakistani living abroad, I can understand what Imran Khan has in his mind. The problems faced by Pakistan are perceived as something for which there is no solution available. I can tell you for all the problems, the solutions are there and other countries have already dealt with them quite long ago. The question is who would bring those solutions to Pakistan at low or no cost? Its only overseas Pakistanis who have cash and willingness to push ahead this country. There are around 7 million Pakistanis. If on an average they send only Rs. 2,000 on monthly basis (which they can easily send once they get the trust of the government), in a year the government can earn upto $ 1.7 billion, enough to fund many small projects and lessen the external debts as well
