ISLAMABAD: Senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sharmila Farruqui said on Tuesday that her party’s candidates were running an effective door-to-door campaign but in the coming days, selective big rallies will be arranged.

Talking to APP, she said that the PPP leadership was not afraid of threats by extremist forces but the safety of its workers was also PPP’s priority.

She said that the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will address the PPP rallies through a video-conferencing system, adding that the party had already launched its campaign in both the print and electronic media.

Faruqui added that the PPP’s opponents were running their campaign but the PPP and like-minded parties were deprived of a level playing-field.

She welcomed the decision of nationalist parties in Balochistan and Sindh to participate in the coming elections.
