A constitutional petition has been filed in the Supreme Court, Lahore Registry, with a prayer to extend tenure of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry by one year and 10 months after his retirement that is due on December 11 this year.
Imtiaz Rasheed Qureshi, a member of Save Judiciary Committee, filed this petition stating that former military ruler Pervez Musharraf had deposed the CJP and subjected him to house detention.
He said the CJP had failed to perform his duties for 22 months due to unconstitutional acts of the former dictator. He submitted that the CJP should be given extension of 22-months after his retirement as compensation for his illegal suspension period.

Please should be filed for the proper implementation of Justice, not the Chief Justice. No.. from my side.
Everything beside, what about the pay & perks he has got for 22 months? Nobody is indispensable. All those, whom people thought were indispensable, all lying in their graves but the world goes on. This extension business must stop in every department.
Guys please "SAY BIG NO TO IFTKHAR CHAHUDHARY"
we don't need him even for one day, and lawyers are imposing him for more then 20 months. NO WAY
Set this precedent to benefit all those in service or retired government officials who had been suspended, terminated or dismissed from the service...illegally.
So,that the judicial system is totally corrupted and distorted.
NS will give him extention
If destruction and dismemberment of Pakistan and civil war is the ultimate goal then this PCO CJ should be given extension for life.
