Crime: Woman burnt by husband’s opponents

HAFIZABAD:

A woman was doused with petrol and set on fire by several men over an enmity with her husband here on Tuesday.

Qasim Ali, Kausar Perveen’s husband, a resident of Chhani Jamke, had gone to work in a factory when his opponents broke into his home and attacked his wife and three children. They sprinkled petrol on Perveen and set her on fire.

Neighbours took her to a hospital. Doctors said there were 50 per cent burns on Perveen’s body.

Caretaker Chief Minister Najam Sethi has taken notice of the incident.
