District central prison: Man commits suicide in custody

According to officialsl, Muhammad Shoaib hanged himself.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A prisoner incarcerated at District Central Prison, who was accused of murder, took his own life by self-strangulation on Sunday, confirmed a police official. According to the official, Muhammad Shoaib hanged himself, but the official could not explain the exact means by which the prisoner was able to manage this. Shoaib had been arrested for kidnapping 17-year-old Akhter Khan on August 2, 2012. Akhter died in captivity and Shoaib was facing charges for both kidnapping and murder.
