After 14 days he will be presented in the same court, on May 4.
He was taken to the police headquarters immediately after the case was heard.
An Express News reporter stated that the former dictator will further be sent to Adiala jail where a special cell has been made for him.
The All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) General Secretary Dr Amjad, spoke to the media after the verdict was announced and maintained Musharraf’s “morale was high” and that he was prepared to present himself in all required courts.
Answering questions related to Musharraf’s judicial remand period, the general secretary said “It isn’t necessary to be sent to Adiala jail, if security is at risk, any place can be declared a sub-jail.”
“This is the administrations job to decide where he can get the best security while in custody”, he added.
Security and protests
Musharraf had to wait nearly 45 minutes in his car on court premises, waiting on a security clearance. There was tight security present for both his arrival and departure due to the angered lawyers present.
There were attempts made to block lawyers from coming close to Musharraf's way of entrance, with the rangers cordoning the area.
Lawyers shouted anti-Musharraf slogans as he entered the court premises. The protests intensified as the former dictator got in to his car to leave.
The police was unsuccessful in stopping protesters as they broke barriers. Rangers and the anti-riot force were called in to help control the situation.
Former army chief Musharraf faces allegations that he ordered the illegal detention of judges during a showdown with the judiciary in 2007. Musharraf, who seized power in a coup in 1999, resigned in 2008.

Musharraf turned vendetta dirty politics into conciliation and forgiveness politics. He tried to steer Pakistan to become Jinnah's Pakistan while others broke Pakistan apart, want to turn Pakistan into an extremist state or break it further apart. People of Pakistan should wake up.
Pervez Musharraf is a great leader and a true Pakistani that deeply cares about Pakistan. His 10 year rule was not only most democratic but also brought most positive changes and saved Pakistan from disaster after the 9/11 by taking very tough decisions. He did make few small but forgivable strategic mistakes. Give him respect and let stand in 2013 elections.
If an ex-prime minister can go to jail, why can't an ex Army Chief?
Pakistan is a strange country. Don't be surprised if we see an episode " General's arrest case: Judges sent on 14-day judicial remand". It is just a matter of time
@ Sana Askari, than what kind of justice we can expect from these. Truly speaking no one can trust our judiciary moreover it became a lota party shame on lawyers who attacked those president musharaf supporters. You lawyers are the prime example of partiality educated illiterates that’s why people don’t trust I was having 2% trust now that’s gone too. Shame on you judiciary, we all with you President pervase musharaf zindabad Pakistan payendabad.
ATC judge Kausar Abbas Zaidi brother of Capt (R) Mansur zaidi court martialed by Musharraf. Judge Shokat Siddique who cancelled Musharraf bail, was a lawyer of Lal masjid & an MMA candidate in 2002 elections
Reference to "angered lawyers" is most disturbing, when lawyers become a threat to peace and security of someone seeking justice then anyone hoping for justice or security is living in fools paradise. "Pakistan ka Khuda-hi-haafiz-hai" otherwise we are doing all we can to destroy it completely. Shame on the whole rotten judicial system, judiciary and everyone who calls himself a lawyer and threatens an accused. Shame a million shame!
Musharaf must live the life which he opted for namely recognition and honour in the military and now transparency and exposure to humiliation and degradation in public. Welcome to the club of politicians, who rely on public acceptance and not the soldiers loyalty, obtain comfort from their good deeds and not from militay adventures. You are at the mercy of the most unreliable in a society, The Citizens who elect or reject the candidates for a political office..
you are a man who over time has developed an insatiable desire for power over the people, be it in military or in the political arena..

The acts of lawyers just show what menace they have become to society. Majority ills of the society can be cured if they are restrained and judicial system is put in order. From land grabbing mafia to the daily killings around the country , it is this lot of corrupt lawyers that abrogate the justice being served.
@Voice Of D.I.Khan: YOU ARE RIGHT
@Asif Khan: TRUE, YOU ARE RIGHT. WE SHOULD HAVE TOLERANCE
No more army rule in pakistan EVER
@Malahar: Dictatorship is better for Pakistan than democracy. You saw your democracy during last 5 years and now, the economy is nearly crippling, and please don't say that economy is perfect, because this is the first time, in the history of Pakistan, that all the crises are being observed together; that is: Inflation, Balance of Payments crises, low foreign reserves, Power sector out of funds, PSO crippling out, high illiteracy and your so-called elected government, taking loans up to 12 trillion rupees. :)
Wow he is wearing KHADI SADARI(cotton wear Gandhi style) mushi u r Pakka delhi wala.
With love from india
My Love to Pervez Musharraf is at peak - My Love to Pervez Musharraf is immortalized today, thanks to Judiciary.
Whatever happened to Musharraf's "enlightened moderation" ? You never hear that phrase any more
"He was taken to the police headquarters immediately after the case was heard."
So? You want him to roam around in Court garden afterwards & had a cup of tea with some of our very polite lawyers?
Please Make him an example so that no one in future dare to put constitution in Dusbin. Justice me Lord! Is Pakistan only a place where democratic leaders to face the court, not dictators?
There is nothing going to be happened to Musharraf. These are just formalities and this game as usual shall be on and on because the main role in Musharraf's cases shall be played by the federal government and judiciary alone itself can't do much more and the federal government is totally insincere and non-serious.This is why Musharraf shall never go to jail.....
Express Tribune staff; please stop promoting 'Monkey Journalism" and report news that make sense. For the past many days, a sort of 'Which-hunting" is being carried out against a man who in my opinion has not harmed this country. He is nothing like the "Thugs" and "Henchmen" who say they are people's representatives and yet do nasty and evil things. President Musharraf has the support of elite educated people of this country who are young and over mostly professionals, whereas the "Others" are a bunch of looters, plunderers and law breakers. If you have to say something then be fair and objective.
wonder what type snake has bitten Musharraf that he decided to come back
The Final Chapter of "In The Line of Fire"
I don't know what lawyers are trying to prove, beating Musharaf supporters brutally. They can turn violent against anyone, even police and our security forces can't do anything against them. They can do whatever they want. Are Judges and Lawyers above the law...???
