GUJRANWALA:

As many as 1,893 anti-dengue spray teams will visit ponds, colleges, hospitals and mosques in the district from Monday [April 22].

Dengue programme incharge DHO Ehsaan Asad on Friday said this time around the campaign’s main focus would be on breeding sites at tyre shops, offices and ponds in the area. He said 197 outdoor and 1,696 indoor teams had been trained in this regard. Asad said as many as 1,000 pond owners had also been requested to breed fish that are known to consume the dengue larvae. He said he hoped the anti-dengue drive campaign this year would turn out to be as successful as last year’s in the Punjab.
