KARACHI: The Sindh Ombudsman office said that it had helped three individuals - Shaheen Nisar, Nida Rashid and Faisal Mukhtar - get Rs1.9 million back from the Lyari Development Authority.

The authority had taken the money as a deposit for flats but they abandoned the development scheme in 2009.

Nisar, Rashid and Mukhtar had lodged a complaint with Sindh Ombudsman Asad Ashraf Malik demanding that they be reimbursed for their investment. These claims were later settled.
