The Environment Protection Department has launched an operation against hospitals and clinics that are not disposing of their medical waste properly.
Deputy District Officer Farhat Abbas Kamoka said on Wednesday that hospitals and laboratories had been repeatedly asked to dispose of their medical waste in accordance with the Environment Protection Law but they had ignored. He said most of them also lacked incinerators.
