Slain Singer: Ghazala Javed’s murder case adjourned

An additional sessions judge on Saturday adjourned the hearing of Ghazala Javed’s murder case after recording statements of a lady doctor and other witnesses. Proceedings in the murder case of famous Pashto singer, Ghazala Javed, took place at the court of Additional Sessions Judge-II, Muhammad Zubair Khan. During the hearing, lawyers completed their arguments over the statements of the lady doctor who conducted a post-mortem on the singer’s body along with other witnesses in the case. Justice Khan later adjourned the case till the next date when statements of the case investigation officer and more witnesses will be recorded. Ghazala Javed and her father Javed Iqbal were shot dead outside a beauty parlour in Peshawar on June 18, 2012. In the FIR, Ghazala’s mother and sister accused her husband, Jahangir Khan, of the murder.
