Paying Tribute: Civic Centre hall named after ZA Nizami
The decision was formally announced by Karachi Metropolitan Corporation administrator Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi.

The seminar hall at Civic Centre has been named after former Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) chancellor and former Karachi Development Authority (KDA) director-general, ZA Nizami, who died recently. The decision was formally announced by Karachi Metropolitan Corporation administrator Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi at a condolence meeting organised by the KDA labour union on Friday. The participants highlighted Nizami’s contributions to the developments of the city, including the Civic Centre building and SSUET university. Former federal minister Haji Hanif Tayyab said that Nizami had been instrumental in developing Karachi along modern lines.
