Police said the couple belonging to Pathankot had an enmity with Muhammad Hassan Shah of the same village. They had filed a case against Shah and he had been declared a proclaimed offender.
On Thursday, they were sitting at Ashiq Ali’s restaurant in Pathankot Adda when Shah and his accomplices reached there on motorcycles and shot them. Sakina died on the spot.
Bilal was seriously injured and taken to the Sargodha district headquarters hospital. Hundreds of people belonging to the Odh tribe demonstrated against the Sahiwal police at the scene of crime.
Some also staged demonstrations in front of the tehsil headquarters hospital and Sahiwal police station.
The police have registered a case against six people including Hassan Shah, his brother Qasim Shah and Siddique Odh.
