ZAFARWAL: A girl died on Thursday allegedly from an injection administered by a quack at a private hospital here.

Police said Sana, 3, daughter of Muhammad Shahid Gujjar, had been suffering from fever. Her uncle took her to Zafarwal Eye Hospital where she was given an injection by the quack.

Soon after the injection, the girl died. Sana’s relatives, who gathered at the hospital after her death, alleged that she died because of the injection she was administered.

They went berserk and broke the windowpanes and furniture of the hospital. A youth was injured during the riot. He was taken to Narowal in a critical condition. The hospital staff escaped to save their lives.
