MUMBAI:

Actor Kunal Kemmu, who will soon be seen in zombie thriller Go Goa Gone, says the film answers all the relevant questions related to zombies.

“We know there are a lot of people in our country who haven’t seen such [zombie] films,” the 29-year-old said in an interview. “What are zombies? How do people become zombies? And what should be done with them? Answers to all these questions are given in the film.”

“The story has been told in a simple manner. So if you haven’t seen a zombie film before, or you don’t know what a zombie is, you can still watch it. Even our characters in the film don’t know what zombies are and what is happening with them,” he added.

Co-produced by actor Saif Ali Khan, Go Goa Gone is about two friends, played by Kunal and Vir Das, who travel to Goa with another friend.

Vir admitted that physically, it was a demanding project.

“This was not a studio film, no air conditioners and all,” he said and added that most of the film was shot at the sea and in the forest.

“Every day, we would run in the forest, lie in a boat at the sea in intense heat. It was a very tough film, physically,” said Vir.

Co-directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, Go Goa Gone also stars Anand Tiwari, Puja Gupta and Saif and is slated for a May 10 release.
