JUI-F General Secretary Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, announcing the manifesto, said that Islam will be made the official religion of the state and a comprehensive system of Islamic laws will be evolved for the country.
Reflecting upon the foreign policy, he said that they would establish relations with all the countries on the basis of equality.
“A strong system of accountability would be mapped out for the affairs of government and adherence to them would be made mandatory,” he said.
He added that the party will make education compulsory up to Matric and free up to Bachelors after coming into power.
“After establishment of Islamic system of government, our foremost priority would be the promotion of education. We pocket a comprehensive program in this regard and would also impart education in mother tongue,” he added.
Haideri said that the education budget will be increased by 15 per cent and separate universities will be established for men and women.
“Acquisition of scientific education would be made easier, the private institutions would be encouraged and the autonomy of the madrassahs would be kept intact,” he said, adding that the certificates of the madrassahs would be made equivalent to that of government institutions.
Minorities will also enjoy the right to establish their religious education centres, he said.

Well, according to Maulana, Pakistan which is an Islamic Republic for more than six decades failed to provide any welfare to Muslims in this country indicating that Jinnah who created a separate homeland for welfare of the Muslims has so far failed to achieve his vision. The poor and hapless minorities would also be pulling their hair that they didn't benefit either and what would happen to them once Islamic laws or sharia is imposed in this country.
@Nadir: Be as it may. 15% would be the second highest allocation in the World (behind 20% in Indonesia) for education.
More importantly: with around 50% of the budget going to military and another 20% to debt servicing, you have around 30% left for everything else. Can any government give half of this to education (although it sounds great)
@ Abdul Your coment made me LOL. and as spidy would say......this post gave him cancer
This is just what they say , these are quite far fatched ideas and are they not inline with the talibans ? . i hate to see that they are being allowed to contest in the elections.
Islam will be declared the official religion in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Hmmm
15% budget towards education and the rest of 85% for buying diesel??
Though i finished reading this funnyifesto but still loughing LOL. :)
the D day will never come......
As an American citizen, I just want to convey to all Pakistani's to not forget that their President was vacationing in his chateau in Normandy, France during the devastating floods of 2010. Make your vote count, vote sensibly and give a chance to someone who has not been tried and tested, we all know who that is.
What more can we expect from these madrasa graduates.
JUI-F manifesto sounds good.....but then every partys manifesto sounds good. The real question is will JUI-F, PMLN, PPP etc really do what they say? I doubt it and this is why my vote is for PTI.
Well it has been Fazl Welfare State for last 30 years, why change the manifesto when all the Allah's Fazal has been on and by the looks of it will continue!!!
I thought Bachelor's were already free. I mean, look at all our politicians pulling degrees out thin air. One would think it was free.
I really appreciate, the very best manifesto, this is what, Pakistan needs,.. :)
15 % would not build separate universities who issue free bachelor degrees to all. What will be the islamic punishment for those who do not fullfill the compulsary matriculation requirement even if is being offered for free. And sorry minorities will not vote for you just because you mentioned them in the manifesto. I would give you guys E for effort.
No thanks
How unpredictable?
oh really you want to turn Pakistan into a well developed Islami welfare state? That's what the Taliban want to do right? . We want a mixture secular/islamic Pakistan (like Malaysia, Turkey, UAE ) where every society can practice their religion freely and openly.
And diesel will be declared the National fuel.
"Islam will be made the official religion of the state!"
So what is the religion of (Islamic Republic of Pakistan) state right now? confused much?
NO.
Stop copying what PTI have said.
No more Deobandism thanks. These people will turn us into even bigger slaves of Saudi.
They have no shame whatsoever. I presume one of their policies will be to import more crude oil from them too? And cut off (blow up pipeline) any gas supplied from the nefarious Iranians? At the behest of Riyadh.
Crude oil can be refined into a product which begins in D and ends in L
Theres only one party worth voting for. The only party which is competent enough (possesses qualities of honesty, determination, vision, leadership...etc) and WILL work for the country, to give its people (and believe me, no one person will "save" this country, only the effort of the PEOPLE will change this country) a fair chance of bringing the country out of the current situation.
Religion and State should be separate entites, pakistani people specially urban society wont support this kind of so called islamic manifesto as it sounds kind of like running a madrassa.
Increase of education budget of 15%, thats nothing!
It is already an international welfare state.
Sounds Good..
Really? Separate universities for men and women, what is this 1813? Get with the times. Unless I misread, but they want to offer free education up to Bachelor level? Are you kidding me? Fix the elementary and college level before offering free things. These promises are so unrealistic and baseless....do you research instead of throwing Islam around. Pakistan will always be a Muslim country, that will not change. I do admire the minority bit, that was surprising.
