LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ijaz Butt returned after conciliation with the International Cricket Council (ICC) following a war of words between the PCB and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

The ECB was irked by Ijaz’s comments blaming England players of match-fixing.

Ijaz, earlier this week, had also lashed out at the ICC over the spot-fixing scandal against Pakistan and described that ICC’s handling of the investigation as “terrible” asking for its chief executive Haroon Lorgat to step down.

Given the sensitivity surrounding this issue, The Express Tribune has learnt that a ceasefire has been agreed.
