Fuel shortage: Petroleum minister addresses CNG traders

Siddiqui said that reducing line losses, gas theft and ensuring a just distribution of gas are high on his agenda.

Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Sohail Wajahat Siddiqui has initiated consultations with stakeholders to resolve the energy crisis through short-term measures.


In this regard, he held a meeting with a delegation of the All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) .

Siddiqui said that increasing petroleum imports are eating up precious foreign exchange reserves thus efficient use of existing natural gas should be promoted. He said that reducing line losses, gas theft and ensuring a just distribution of gas are high on his agenda. He said that he will take an effective decision within days to settle issues of the CNG sector.
