Candidates whose nomination papers were rejected by returning officers continued on Tuesday to submit their appeals to the appellate tribunal set up at the Peshawar High Court (PHC).
Candidates who submitted appeals for various constituencies included Zulfiqar Afghani from NA-1, Nawabzada Mohsin Ali Khan from PK-41, Zulfiqar Khan from PK-57, Arsala Khan from PK-25, Yasir Ali from PK-94, Muhammad Ayub Khan from PK-30, Haq Nawaz Khan from NA-34, Malik Aurangzeb Khan from PK-28, Malik Khitab Bacha from NA-34, Malik Azmat from PK-30, Sardar Ali Khan from PK-27, Mushtaq Khan from NA-25, Amanullah Khan Kundi from PK-25, Ahmad Shah from PK-97, Zakirullah from PK-28, Naeemullah Bacha from PK-38, Shahbaz Khan Shinwari from PK-30, Shabir Ahmad from PK-68, Makhdum Shah from PK-98, Fakhr I Jahan from PK-28, Maulana Akhtar Ali from PK-30, Mushtaq Khan from PK-30, Rab Nawaz from PK-94, Muhammad Ayub from PK-28, Khitab Bacha from PK-57, Zulfiqar Khan from PK-41 and Nawabzada Khan from PK-97.
Meanwhile, Malik Nauroz Khan from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas submitted an objection against Baz Gul Afridi, a candidate for the National Assembly and Gul Karim along with Rahat Yusuf submitted objections against Akhunzada Chattan.
The appellate tribunal comprises three judges. The Peshawar High Court will start hearing appeals from April 11.
