QUETTA: A protest demonstration was staged by Baloch Human Rights Organization (BHRO) outside Quetta Press Club here on Saturday against the alleged military operations in Dera Bugti and Naseerabad. They alleged that the population in Mastung, Naseerabad, Jafferabad, Mashky and Awaran were also targeted in the same fashion previously. The protestors, mainly young men and women, were holding banners and placards in their hands inscribed with slogans such as, ‘stop Baloch genocide,’ ‘UN take notice of Baloch genocide.’ The speakers said that the violation of human rights has become a regular act by the forces in Balochistan, adding that forces had launched military operations on a wide scale. “Many of the people were arrested and many homes were set ablaze in the operation that began in the morning since last day,” the added.
