According to a press release issued by ECP, the two discussed security arrangements pertaining to the general elections.
During the meeting in Islamabad, Gen Kayani assured the Chief Election Commissioner that the army fully supported the efforts being made by the election commission to hold free, fair and credible elections in the country and that all possible assistance will be extended to create an environment conducive to achieve this objective.
Justice (r) Ebrahim said that at this critical juncture of our history all the state organisations are expected to play their respective role to serve the national interest by holding transparent and peaceful elections as enshrined in the Constitution and as expected by the people.

Very, very good. These surprise meetings hold the key and balance to proper functioning of the organization, any for that matter of fact. The citizens want law and order, economic system, administration of justice and no terrorists, whatever their caste, color, creed or cult. These four requirements hold the balance for the state to function. Salams
It is not a good sign that Kiyani met with EC.
Without the help of Pakistan Army, it will be difficult to hold the elections peacefully.
The Care-Taker Interior Minister has said that Army would be available on call but my suggestion is that Army should guard all the polling stations in Karachi as well as in other sensitive parts of the ciuntry, so that voters should come out from their residences to cast their votes without any fear and depression.
Presence of Army on polling stations will provide relief to voters peace of mind and the turn out will be excellent, otherwise, the turn out would be quite low.
Pak army do not want peace in balochistan.Let balochis choose there own future instead with pakistan
Army will help insure elections? How about insuring the security of Pakistani citizens? Bloodletting in Tirah valley continues and what is Kayani doing about it?
Hope, he recognized General this time..
Why he is saying the same for again and again?
Army, an organ of State machinery, needs to provide all necessary support needed by ECP to conduct fair elections. There are no two ways about it and everyone state institution must support ECP in this critical time.
