Former ECP commisoner should also held accountable for letting these frauds contest in 2008. Why didn't they verify their degrees at that point.
FDRO Fake Degree Reconciliation Ordinance, Urgently needed.
Everybody knows who Ali Madad Jatak is. But nobody dared to question him when he submitted his papers to contest elections back in 2008.
Ali Madad Jatak was local chars paddler.
It is exactly because Pakistan faces such dire straits that we need people who are genuinely concerned with the wellbeing of their country, not their own selves alone. That is why people, who submitted fake data and information, under oath, to get to seats of power, must be rooted out as they cannot be looked upon to do anything for the betterment of this country and its people. However much you love your leader, please do not condone their illegal and immoral behavior. Our willingness to condone and overlook their inglorious actions has resulted in this country arrive at this juncture of do or die.
As Asma Jehangir stated, considering there are many issues far more important than fake degrees faced by Pakistan such as terrorism; for Pakistan to find its way, I strongly believe the ECP and the Law ought to get their priorities in order urgently and impartially. Jail sentences are very harsh punishments being handed down by judges for false degrees. By all means remove the said persons from standing for public office for ex amount of years. So many who murder with imputiy roam the streets of Pakistan, how incongruous can the institutions be! And, why not instead hand a sentence with the same alacrity to Musharaf who is being tried for treason, murder and much more. Why has the ECP not disqualified him from their lists when for much less, others are being removed? Is equality, justice not for all, or to state it without diplomacy, do retired generals stand above the law?
