Says ex-president guilty of mass murder and massive corruption.
Accusing former president Musharraf of mass murder and massive corruption, a retired military officer filed a complaint with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday, demanding action against Musharraf.
“Ex General Pervez Musharraf committed serious offences by suspending the Constitution twice, removing and detaining honourable judges of the superior courts, carrying out the massacre at Lal Masjid, giving the order of assassination of Nawab Akbar Bugti as well as masterminding a mass-murder on May 12, 2007 in Karachi,” Lt Col (retd) Inamul Rahiem said in a complaint filed with the NAB.
“Ex-general Pervez Musharraf not only violated his oath, being a public office holder…he illegally employed the state agencies with collaboration of foreign powers and abducted thousands of people and handed them over to a foreign power for monetary gains with criminal intent.”
Col Rahiem added that the retired general had already ‘confessed’ to his crimes in his book In the Line of Fire. He cited page 237 of the book, where Musharraf writes: “after 9/11, when many members of al Qaeda fled Afghanistan and crossed the border into Pakistan, we have played cat and mouse with them…we have caught many, many others. Some are known to the world, some are not known. We have captured 689 and handed over 369 to the United States. We have earned bounties totaling million of dollars”.
Rahiem questioned what procedure was adopted in handing them over, and how much money Musharraf received for it.
Raheim also asked that all of Musharraf’s moveable and immovable assets be frozen, accusing him of embezzling billions of rupees.
“Musharraf injected corruption into the senior hierarchy of the armed forces by allotting them plots above their entitlements… he allotted more than 85 commercial and residential plots to General (retd) Yousaf, his then Vice Chief of Army Staff,” Rahiem wrote to NAB Chief Admiral (retd) Fasih Bokhari.
Rahiem also claimed that Musharraf illegally allotted himself various residential and commercial plots as well as huge tracts of land without any entitlement.
When contacted, All Pakistan Muslim League’s Information Secretary, Aasia Ishaq said, “General Musharraf is already facing courts in various cases. Let the courts decide the cases filed against him,” she said.

Tax is deducted from the source, that's for sure. in many foreign countries it is norm. Even if suppose an American comes to Canada and pays GST/HST on the purchase he has to pay it at source and then claim it later by sending their receipt to Revenue Canada.

If you are really interested to comment do research before you comment. He was in the country for 8 months after resignation. Why no cases have filed against him? Why he have signed a deal? If there is a deal have you seen it or present in the newspaper so that everybody can see just like Nawaz lied he did not make a deal and then everybody saw the signed deal. Bring it on we want to see it. If you cant just shut up.
@Umar: Brother, Pakistan Tax law does not charge any TAX on oversea Income. I am working in Dubai and my income is Tax Free in Pakistan. As a military men his salary and benefits were tax deducted at source so he himself, didn't required to pay. & the question how much he paid. I don't know as you are in Pakistan. You as a public have full access and right to view his returns, Kindly contact FBR or any other authority who may give to full details.
@Saad: I agree that benefits given to these govt. servant are way to much for a country like Pakistan. Which still in toddler age even after 65 years. But the question is who will do what you are suggesting to reduce. Politicians or Military? Why would they both do something which goes against them. And if any one of us is believing or expecting from politician, I am sorry to say they are born corrupt.

@Humanoids: Just to tel you one thing one of the biggest source of income of Musharraf after retirement is of lectures. Just google the list of lectures he gave during last 5 to 7 years and also check how much was he paid against one lecture. Now as someone who know army very well because of family, yes the benefits of army head in way beyond you can think and he was the chief. So brother I am asking you to support or reject him. I am just requesting we should not just say or believe something because its on media. In Musharraf case Pakistan's people believe media reports just like American's and world at large believe about Islam. Which you know is not right.

Only an Honest, Dignified and Bold leader can present himself to the courts on his own free will. This is enough to prove allegations against him are nothing but a Pack of Lies.
Onus is on the courts to dispense justice !!

you know the trend now a days.... if you want attention, file case against Musharraf, if you want to be called again and again in Media.. start bashing Musharraf, if you have nothing to write about.. start repeating the same lines every corrupt journalist is writing for past 5 years..... if you don't have electricity, put it on Musharraf, if you don't have sugar, rice, flour, put it to Musharraf, if you committed a mistake, put it to Musharraf.
If you have lost the arguments, put it to Musharraf.. put it dictatorship...!
