Forecast: Rain and storm predicted in K-P

The weather of Abbottabad, Swat and Malakand districts will remain cloudy with chances of rain in the aforesaid period

PESHAWAR: The Met Office here Wednesday predicted rain with thunderstorm at isolated places of Malakand, Hazara divisions of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa during next 24 hours. According to the Met Office, continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country whereas a trough of shallow westerly wave is also prevailing over Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas. In next 24 hours, mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, however rain-thunderstorm is likely to lash isolated places of Malakand, Hazara divisions Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. The weather of Abbottabad, Swat and Malakand districts will remain cloudy with chances of rain in the aforesaid period.  However, mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during last 48 hours. Rain and thunderstorm associated with gusty winds occurred at isolated places of Upper Punjab including Islamabad, upper K-P, Sindh, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan in last 24 hours.
