University clashes: Teachers demand punishment

Vice chancellor promised compensation for the damaged cars, the students involved in the incident will be fined.

KARACHI: A delegation of teachers of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology called upon the institution’s vice-chancellor, Dr Zafar Iqbal, to draw his attention towards the clash between two groups which left several students and faculty members injured.

They expressed their concern over the manhandling of faculty members by the law enforcement personnel and also informed about the damage to vehicles parked in the premises.

Dr Iqbal assured the delegation that the manhandling issue will be referred to senior officials of the law enforcement agencies and the absconders will be duly punished.

He also promised compensation for the damaged cars, the students involved in the incident will be fined.
