Gulbadin Naib’s knock of 43 off 42 balls and Mohammad Nabi’s 38 off 23 helped Afghanistan’s cause as they chased down a modest 136-run target with 13 balls to spare.
Earlier, Nepal’s top-scorers were Khadka, who made 50 off 40 balls, and Binod Bhandari, who contributed 32 off 39.
Naib took two wickets, Shapoor Zadran and Hamza Hotak claimed a scalp each.
