Cricket: Fahim bowls SSGC to victory

Opener Haris Khan made 49 off 50 slamming two sixes and four boundaries while Israrullah played important knock of 46.

Left-arm spinner Fahim Ahmed bagged a four-wicket haul to spin SSGC to a 28-run win against Navy in their Qualifier Cricket League match here at the State Bank Sports Complex.

Navy won the toss and decided to bowl first but they failed to see off their opponents cheaply as SSGC scored 214 in 47.2 overs.

Opener Haris Khan made 49 off 50 slamming two sixes and four boundaries while Israrullah played an important knock of 46. Off-spinner Nasir Owais picked up six wickets but conceded 55 runs.

Navy was then dismissed for 186 in 46.3 overs. Babar Agha’s top score of 65 included seven boundaries while Fakhar Zaman chipped in with 27.
