Khyber Agency: Two women killed, man injured in Mortar shell firing

Mortar shells were fired from unknown location.

BARA: Two women were killed and a man injured when mortar shells landed on two houses in Tirah Valley on Saturday.

According to the details,  mortar shell fired from unknown location landed on the house of Khilwat Khan in Sipah Darri area of the valley, severely injuring him and his daughter-in-law.

While another shell landed on the house of Asal Khan in which his 18-year-old daughter was killed on the spot.

Residents of the area rushed for rescue work and pulled out  Khilawat Khan and his daughter-in-law from the debris, however the women succumbed to injuries.

Both the houses were turned into rubbles when the shells hit them.
