Blown-up: Shop destroyed by bomb planted outside

According to the shop keeper, he had no enmity and he did not receive threats from any militants group.

HANGU: A shop was destroyed when unidentified militants planted a bomb in Sarakdana area of Hangu city during early hours of Friday.

Azmat Khan, an official of the city police, said that around 4:00am an explosion occurred outside Mastan Ali’s shop in Sarakdana, on the outskirts of the city after which police along with bomb disposal squad members rushed to the site.

“The shop was destroyed due to the impact of the explosion,” the official said, adding that no human loss was reported.

According to Ali’s statement, he had no enmity and he did not receive threats from any militants group.

Meanwhile, unidentified militants lobbed a hand grenade inside a house in Mohallah Saingarh, which exploded however, incurring no loss.

Hangu city police filed cases against unidentfied militants and started investigations.
