Road Accidents: Four including two brothers killed

Police said the bus driver had been arrested.

Two brothers were killed and three other people were injured in a road accident in Mianwali on Thursday.


Haq Nawaz, a resident of Wandha Mehr Khanewala, was travelling on a motorcycle with his daughter, Kausar Bibi, and grandchildren Shoaib Khan, 9, Ali Hassan, 6, and Shahzaib, when the motorcycle was hit by a bus on the Mianwali-Kalabagh road. Shoaib and Hassan died on the spot. Nawaz, Kausar and Shahzaib were taken to a hospital where their condition was later said to be critical.

Police said the bus driver had been arrested.

Talagang. A man was killed on Thursday when the car he was driving was hit by a bus on Talagang road. The deceased was identified as Abdul Ghaffar Khan.

Kot Momin. In another road accident, a man was killed and another was severely injured when they were hit by a tractor-trolley near Kot Momin on Thursday. Muhammad Yousaf, a resident of Mianwali, and Ghulam Murtaza, were changing a tyre on their tractor-trolley by the roadside when they were hit by another tractor-trolley. Yousaf died on the spot. Murtaza was taken to a hospital where his condition was later reported as critical. Police said the bus driver had fled.
