By-polls: NA-9 election on May 8
Submissions will start from April 1 and candidates will be allowed to submit nominations till April 18.
Shakeel left his post to be a judge in Gilgit-Baltistan’s chief court. The election for his constituency will be held on May 8, said the election commission on Thursday.

Candidates who are bank defaulters and/or representatives of a banned organisation will not be eligible to contest.
According to the election commission, the total registered voters in NA-9, Skardu -3 are 24,088, 52% of whom are men.
