After nearly a four-month lull, deadly cross-border incursions have resumed in Bajaur Agency.

Militants from across the border fired rockets into the Matak area of Nawagai tehsil of Bajaur Agency on Tuesday, an official of the security forces said. However, no loss of life was reported.

The official claimed that forces retaliated and killed three militants on the Afghan side.

In another incident, unidentified militants fired a rocket at a rural health facility in Khar, the headquarters of the agency, which partially damaged the building.

The official said that a search operation was launched in the area and more than 20 suspects were arrested under the collective responsibility clause of FCR.
