KARACHI:

A psychiatrist clinic has been set up for the families of Abbas Town who lived through the bomb blast and lost loved ones.

Psychological counselling services are also being offered to the families by the Forum for Secular Pakistan in collaboration with Pakistan Association of Mental Health (PAMH). The organisations visited Abbas Town soon after the devastation. Soon after, a team of trained psychiatrists and psychologists was formed.

They held the first therapy session on March 13 and the next one on March 20. The subsequent sessions will be held every Wednesday from 11am to 1pm.

The doctors found out through these sessions that there were no conflicts between the various sects living in the neighbourhood. Those who need psychiatric help and cannot make it to the weekly session are welcome for walk-in meetings at the PAMH clinic between 9am and 4pm. The clinic can be reached at 32232423 and 32257245.
