BAHAWALPUR: A woman committed suicide late on Sunday by jumping in front of a moving train while carrying her infant daughter.
Police said the woman, a resident of Tibi Ghao, had had a quarrel with her husband, who was reportedly a drug addict. Police said he had beaten his wife.
They said she had taken their nine-month old daughter and jumped in front of the Awami Express train travelling from Lahore to Karachi.
The mother and daughter died on the spot.
